Christmas Day at Work
Christmas Day at Work

Every year I work on Christmas. I can’t remember a year that I haven’t worked on Christmas. At least not when it comes to my work as a Security Guard. Yesterday was no exception. Not only did I work yesterday, but it wasn’t that busy there. I can’t remember last Christmas. But I think it was about the same as this year. It wasn’t too busy at all then either.

What does that mean for my writing? It means that I got all one hundred and eight single sentences written for the third episode of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Actually, they were already written. I just copied what I handwrote to my tablet. That’s right, I did have it on my tablet this time. I’m not sure about episode four. But I think that it’s there too.

I was going to check after I wrote and posted this blog entry. But I couldn’t wait. Just checked it. And it is on my laptop too. If it’s on both, then the fourth will should be there too. I will find out if it is in a little over twelve hours from now.

True, it took me almost seven hours to copy these single sentences from handwritten paper to my tablet. But about an hour of that, I did spend working yesterday at work. That may read like a lot of working. But it’s not. It’s about a third of what I normally work on a Saturday. At least it has been that bad for the last several weeks. I hope that’s all over with this year.

Yes, I know we still have a week to go before this year is over. And it will probably be very busy next week too. But next Saturday is the first of next year. So, this is the last Saturday of this year. It doesn’t mean where I work won’t be busy. But hopefully, it won’t be as busy as it has been lately. With a new year starting, I hope that it won’t be. Then again, it might be for a little while longer.

Today, I don’t know how busy it will be. It can go either way. Maybe it will be kind of busy. Like it has been lately for a Sunday. And maybe it will go back to the way it was before when it wasn’t too busy at all. Just a little bit busier than a Saturday.

If it is very busy today, I may not get all one hundred and eighty single sentences written for the fourth episode of this project. I think that I can. Even if it is really, really busy today. I’m not going to count on anything until it happens, though.
