What is Worse Than Another Split Shift?

Yesterday is worse. That’s right. I had to work another split shift again yesterday at work. And it was at my old post on a weekday. That means that I was on my feet about ninety percent of the time. That’s worse than the opposite that I’m supposed to be on them. It’s supposed to be ten to fifteen minutes an hour. Not about fifty to fifty-five minutes per hour. That’s what it was at work yesterday.

I don’t know if it’s normal to be that busy on a Thursday because I have never worked at that post. A few times I think I have worked a Friday. And I worked a Wednesday for about a year as part of my work week. But all that was a long time ago. I don’t remember how busy it was. And I don’t remember ever working a Thursday before yesterday. No matter how I look at it, I don’t know if yesterday was normal or not. But I have a feeling it wasn’t.

It’s not just where I worked the first four hours of my shift yesterday or how busy it was, though. I also had to write up another Incident Report. And once again, I shouldn’t have to do it. But I had no choice. it’s not my fault that it happened. Yet, I’m the one who got the blame for it. I’m not surprised about that. After all, I get blamed for everything that goes wrong there. Only this time it did happen to me on my shift.

Despite how busy it got yesterday at work and having to write up and another IR, I did get some writing done on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Unfortunately, I only got Act Three and about half of Act Four written. And most of that was during the last four hours of my shift. I tried to do it while at my old post. But I barely had the chance to sit down for a few seconds. Let alone get any writing done.

Really didn’t want to do any when I got to my regular post. But I forced myself to do it. Unfortunately, I didn’t get as much as I wanted to get written. I will continue working on this project today. Just not sure how much of it I will be able to get done. As far as I know, I’m going to work my regular shift today. But after what has happened the last few weeks, and yesterday, I’m not going to count on anything until it happens.
