A Very Busy Second Day Off From Work

Unfortunately, the above blog title is correct. It has been a very busy day today. One of the busiest days off that I have ever had. If not the busiest one. It started out very early this morning. And it didn’t end until the sun was going down, and the darkness was coming through to start the night shift. That’s how busy it was today.

What is the usual reason why my day off is so busy? That’s right. It’s because my brother and I had a lot of things that needed to get done today. Unfortunately, it took us the whole day to do them. That’s why I haven’t gotten any writing done on my WDC Short Story for this month.

Normally, I write that I haven’t gotten on my laptop until I started writing this blog entry. But I can’t do that this time. True, this is the chance that I have gotten to get on it when it comes to my writing. But it’s not the first time I have gotten on it today. I got on it this morning before all the chaos of the day began.

Why did I get on it before I started my busy day? It was to print out something that I needed printing out. No, it didn’t take me that long to do it. And I had no problems doing it. But it needed to be done before we started our chaotic day today.

I just checked. And this is still the only Short Story that I will be doing this month. At least it sure does look like it is. After all, I still haven’t gotten one for the other contest that I have been entering lately. And I don’t know why. Is it me or is there some other reason why we haven’t gotten one of them yet?

Even if the prompt came out now, I don’t know if I have the time to write another Short Story. After today, I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to get my WDC Short Story done by the end of the month. I sure would like the chance to write a second one. All I need is the prompt to try it.

As for my WDC Short Story, will I continue to work on it after I get finished writing and posting this blog entry? That is what I want to do. And what I need to do. But as for if I will do it, I can’t answer that question. I should be able to work on it. And I’m going to try. But I’m not going to count on anything until it happens.
