Only Halfway There Today

Unfortunately, it’s true that I only got halfway through my WDC Short Story for this month. There are a couple of reasons why that happened. One is what my brother and I had to do today. Another one is all the rewriting I had to do on it.

My brother and I had a lot that needed to be done today. And it took us almost the whole day to do it. It all started at nine o’clock WDC time in the morning. Unfortunately, it didn’t end until almost seven o’clock this evening. That’s why I didn’t have too much time to write today. And I should have had more time. But I didn’t.

It’s not a total loss, though. I did get the first half of my WDC Short Story. Of course, I did three parts of it before I went to sleep last night. The other two I did today. Unfortunately, my fifth one was way over my Word Count Limit for that part. I had to do some major rewriting to get it close to my word count limit.

With only a few hours it took me a long time to do this rewrite. If I didn’t need to do that, then I would have gotten one or two more written today. Unfortunately, all that rewriting may have hurt this Short Story. I have so much that I want to write in it. But I’m limited in how much I can write because of my two thousand Word Count Limits.

Will I continue to work on this Short Story after I finish writing and posting this blog entry? I want to do it. And I know that I need to do it. But I probably won’t. I’m still very tired from all that my brother and I had to do today. Unfortunately, I will probably go to sleep soon after I finish this blog entry.

I’m going to try to finish this WDC Short Story after I get off work for the next five days. And even though it’s only about two hundred words per day, I probably won’t be able to do it. I should be able to do two hundred per day no matter how it gets at work that day. But something always happens that stops me from getting any writing done. Except for my blog entries. Unfortunately, I sometimes have to force myself to do them too.

As far as I know, I don’t have anything that my brother and I need to do next Monday aka my first day off from work. Of course, that is five days away. A whole lot can happen in those five days. I hope that it doesn’t. If it does, then I should be able to finish this Short Story. May even have time to do a Grammarly check and create it.
