Only Two Today

That’s right. I have only gotten two parts to my WDC Short Story for this month. And it wasn’t easy to get them written. Because I had a lot of thinking about how I was going to start this Short Story. After all, this is sort of a biography of the last two weeks of May aka us moving to our new house. I’m writing it as a Short Story. But it’s also a true one.

I’m also writing it as a montage. The paragraphs in each section are a different timeframe for that part. If I did it as a lineal section like most of my short stories are, it would be too much information I need to condense in about two hundred words per part. And that is very hard to do. Especially, for me. I have had several Reviewers comment on my short stories on my needing more detail on my characters, location, storyline, etc.

That’s very hard for me to do. So, I’m trying to do it a little differently this time. By using a montage method, I may be able to give everything more detail. Partially, my storyline. I know it’s not going to help me in winning this contest. Because I know that I will never do it. But maybe I will get some better reviews about it.

Of course, I wanted to get more writing done today. But I couldn’t do it. Why didn’t get any more written on this Short Story today? What is the usual reason? Normally, it’s either a lack of sleep, what my brother and I need to do today, or both. But it’s neither one of them. The reason why I didn’t get more written was because of me looking for work.

Unfortunately, that didn’t work out too well either. And it took me almost the whole day to do it. That’s why I didn’t get as much writing as I wanted to get written on this Short Story. Unfortunately, I’m not going to be able to continue on it after I finish writing this blog entry and posting it. I got plenty of sleep last night. But I have been rundown and weak all day. Don’t think I’m over the move just yet.
