20220921 Story & NaNo

Well...

After a lot of pulling of mental teeth, draft 1 of my 30k word "vampire" novella is finally finished. I am not happy with the story, with the characters nor with the final denouement, but this idea has been burning at me and I needed to get it out because it was clogging other ideas from coming to fruition... and that is today's mangling of metaphors.

So I'll do a quick functional edit, and then, if I'm inclined, I'll go back to it in a few months and do a proper second draft. But that may not happen. It's not like I'm lacking long stories to try to sell.

Oh, and I also have an idea-ish for NaNoWriMo.

A guy, after the death of a father he has not seen for over 2 decades, discovers he has a kid sister. No idea what happens next, but that's my NaNo prep done!
