Very, Very Bad for a Saturday
Very, very Bad for a Saturday

Unfortunately, my blog title for today is very, very true. I only got about seven hundred words written in my novel, Professional Eliminators. Last Saturday it was about twelve hundred words if I remember correctly. And earlier today it was around seven hundred words, give or take a little.

The main reason for this is that I only had about eight hours to work. About seven hours because of patrols while at work. That’s about a hundred words per hour. That is about normal for my writing of this novel. It’s usually around a hundred and twenty words per hour, give or take a little.

Why was it only about seven hours? It was because something happened at work yesterday. Some big event caused me to slow down on my writing. It even stopped me from writing every so often. Normally, only a few employees show up on Saturday and Sunday to work. Earlier today it was a whole lot more.

It wasn’t just employees either. That something had a lot to do with non-employees too. Together is the main reason why I didn’t get as much writing as I have been getting on a Saturday. Hopefully, that isn’t going to happen tomorrow. It being a Sunday it probably won’t.

I was hoping to get at least most of the fourth part of this chapter written earlier today. Needed about eight hundred to nine hundred words in this chapter to do it. Unfortunately, it was less than what I had written. As a result, I’m not going to get this chapter finished this workweek.

If I could have gotten eight to nine hundred words written earlier today on part four of this chapter, I may have gotten this chapter finished by the end of my shift tomorrow. Especially, if it was nine hundred. Since I only got about half that many it probably won’t happen.

It may not have happened anyway. After all, part fives of my chapters are more intense. A whole lot more action instead of dialogue. If there is any dialogue at all. Sometimes there won’t be any. And sometimes there may be a little. Very seldom will there be a lot of dialogue, if any.

At least that’s the way that it was for part five of the Introduction chapter of this novel. I don’t know if it will be for this chapter or not since I haven’t written it yet. But I have a feeling that it will be almost as intense as the last one. Maybe not as intense, but it will be intense.

All that I can do is write as much as I can tomorrow. Hopefully, that will be all of part five. But I doubt it. If I get about half of that part done, I will be lucky. I think that I can do around that much. Hopefully, I can do a whole lot better than that, though.
