There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories.

A Whole Lot Harder Than I Thought
A Whole Lot Harder Than I Thought

Yes, I know that this blog entry is a couple of hours earlier than I usually have it. That’s because it’s Thanksgiving Day here in the United States. And I have only gotten about four hours of sleep so far because of it. What do I mean by that? I worked a twelve-hour shift earlier today.

I got home from work at about twelve twenty my time. Went to sleep admittedly so that I could get up at five thirty my time to go to work for Thanksgiving dinner. Just got back from that a few minutes ago. And admittedly started writing this blog entry. That way I can get another two hours of sleep after I post this blog entry before I go back to work.

That’s enough of trying to explain this part of why I’m writing this blog entry a little bit earlier than I usually does. Now comes the bad news. It’s going to be at least one more day of working on my WDC Short Story finished for this month. I only got about half of it finished earlier today at work.

That leaves the second half that I need to do tomorrow. But I probably won’t get it done tomorrow. It’s only an eight-hour shift. It took me twelve hours to do half of it. Now it’s only eight hours to do the second half. True, it can be done in eight hours. But I’m not going to count on that happening until it does because of the four fewer hours tomorrow.

I shouldn’t have too many parts left to finish on Saturday. But I will have a few. Once I get them done, I will be able to continue working on my NaNoWriMo novel for this month/year, Professional Eliminators. It looks like I’m going to only be getting two chapters finished this year on this challenge.

Was hoping to get at least three chapters. But when I realized that I wouldn’t be able to reach my goal of fifty thousand words for this challenge, I decided to work on my WDC Short Story for this month instead. It’s more important than a challenge that I can’t finish. I know that it doesn’t matter since I will never win these contests. But I’m still going to try to enter them.

Of course, I want to win these contests. But I know that I won’t. that’s not why I write these short stories. It’s because of the challenge. Especially, for the Science Faction, I mean Science Fiction, short stories. Trying to remember a Short Story that relates to the prompt can be difficult sometimes.

I’m heading back to work in a few hours. And when I do, I will continue working on my WDC Short Story for this month. I will try to finish it tomorrow. But I don’t think that I will. Will get as much of it done tomorrow as I can, though. After all, I want to get back to working on my novel, Professional Eliminators, as soon as I can do it.
