20221209 Live! From the Laundromat!
December 9, 2022, 9:15am

I am now standing in the laundromat using their wifi...

I think I must have been in a manic mood the past week. Not only did I turn a 5k word idea into a 30k word novella, but also wrote the most cynical Christmas poem ever. As people on WdC are quick to condemn belief systems not their own while foisting their own upon everyone through the newsfeed whether they like it or not, I doubt I will post either here. Shame, but WdC is not a safe space. It is becoming as toxic as most other social media sites.

Anyway, the novella is about a demon being summoned. It's comedy with a dash of horror, and it is the finest abusive comedy I can find in my head, railing against my state, religion, politics and the police. Oh, and the Internet, because of course it does.

The poem is an A to Z of modern Christmas, and it rails against... well, modern Christmas. And, no, I did not include anything about the "war on Christmas" because that does not exist, and if people think it does, then they need to get their heads out of their arse because true Christmas was defeated in the 19th century.

This feels as ranty as my work. So I will leave it there and think that finally I am writing, but my situation might have made me a little testy...
