Thirty-Three Could Have Been a Few More Single Paragraphs
Thirty-Three Could Have Been
a Few More Single Paragraphs

Messed up a little bit again, but this time it wasn’t a bad mess up. It wasn’t really a good one either. What does that mean? It means I didn’t copy down enough numeric single sentences before I went to work at midnight last night. As a result, I could have gotten two to seven more single paragraphs written for my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual.

I got these thirty-three single paragraphs written in about eight and a half hours at work earlier today. With my two patrols, I got them done at nine-thirty this morning. That left me about two hours that I could have written some more. If I had more to write, but I didn’t, and that’s my fault. If I was lucky, I figured I could get thirty numeric single paragraphs written and at least two Establishing Shots.

It was three instead of two Establishing Shots. Well, it was sort of three. The third one may not be considered an Establishing Shot because it was part of that scene number. So are the first two Establishing Shots that start each Act. This one was more related to the story, though. That’s why it might not be considered an Establishing Shot, but I consider it one.

Unfortunately, that’s all I have done for this Scene Outline so far today. I haven’t transferred my handwritten scribbles to my laptop yet. Too tired when I got off work today. Had to catch up on some sleeping before I could even try to do it. I plan on starting to do it as soon as I finish writing and posting this blog entry. Don’t know how many I will get transferred before I go to sleep, though. It could be a lot or only just a few.

If nothing else, I can find out if my line numbering is correct. What do I mean by that? Depending on what scene number it is or if it’s an Establishing Shot, there is a specific number of lines within that paragraph. Three lines are for the Establishing Shots, four lines are for the twos, fours, sevens, and nines lines, five lines are for the ones, threes, sixes, and eights lines, and the six lines are for the fives and tens.

I figure there are sixty spaces per line. Multiply that by three to six lines, and I get between one-eighty to three hundred and sixty spaces per single paragraph. When I divide that by the number of spaces, it takes me to handwrite each line of handwriting, I get how many lines of handwriting I need for every single paragraph that I write.

That number of handwritten spaces is forty per line. Divide that into the one-eighty to three hundred and sixty and I get how many lines of handwriting I get per single paragraph. Since my lines don’t end too often on either sixty or forty, I take away half an inch per written line to compensate for this difference. At least I think I have. I will know soon enough if I’m right or not.
