There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories.

Finished One, Started Another
Finished One, Started Another

In my first two hours at work yesterday, I got almost all of my ten numeric single paragraphs written to finish the Scene Outline for my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual. I got a total of eight single paragraphs written in those two hours. That included one Establishing Shot.

Normally, I don’t have too many Establishing Shots in the middle or toward the end of an Act because it leaves only two spaces instead of three between the Scene Location aka logline, and where this scene is taking place aka the logline. Sometimes I do. This was one of those times.

It doesn’t really matter why I had another Establishing Shot or not where I needed it. What does matter is that I got eight single paragraphs within the first two hours of my shift earlier today. It also meant I only had three to finish this Act and Scene Outline. I did it in about a half hour.

When I returned from my first patrol, I finished this Scene Outline in about half an hour. That left me about half of my shift to start working on my second Short Story for this month. Usually, I would have continued with my scriptwriting, but because of my Short Story deadline, I’m not.

With only two days off from work left this month, I don’t really have the time to write this Short Story if I don’t try to do it at work. Especially, since one of those days is a Monday, and I don’t get much writing done on a Monday because my brother and I have so much that needs doing on Mondays.

The other day is a Tuesday. Usually, that isn’t a problem, but this Tuesday is because it’s the last day of this month. I don’t like to wait until the last second to finish writing something. Unfortunately, it has happened to me a lot, but I don’t like doing it because of the chance I won’t get it done in time.

That’s why I’m spending the next three days working on this Short Story at work. It means handwriting it there and transferring it to my laptop when I get off work in a very cold working environment, but if that is what I have to do to finish this before the end of the month, I will do it.

I already had the title for this Short Story. Also had what this story was about in paragraphs and sections single sentences in my head. All I need to do was write them done. I also had to come up with a Title Description. Did all that during the last half of my shift earlier today. I’m ready to start writing this Short Story.

I’m not sure how well I’m going to be able to do writing this Short Story at work. If I had my laptop, I wouldn’t have been any problems doing it, but handwriting it I don’t know about it. I should be able to do it. Just not sure how fast I can write these sections, and how many words I have within them.

How many words are in each section isn’t a problem when I’m writing these short stories on my laptop but handwriting them means counting each paragraph as I’m going along. That could hamper my writing. Won’t know until I try it. It could turn out to be a problem, and it might not. Don’t know yet which one yet.
