There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories.

No Decision to Make This Time

I was hoping to get at least four more sections to my WDC Short Story written today. If I could do that, I would have waited until Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next to finish it. Unfortunately, that isn’t going to happen. I have no choice but to finish it at work starting tonight at midnight.

Why can’t I wait until my next days off from work? It’s because I only got two more parts written for this Short Story today. as I result, I still have six more sections left to do. If I wait until next week, I may not get them finished by the end of the month. I probably could, but after this week I don’t want to take that chance.

Besides, if I wait until next week to finish my WDC Short Story for this month, I won’t have time to finish the second Short Story I’m trying to write this month. The only way that I can get both done is to work on them at work. I want to continue my scriptwriting, but this takes priority right now.

Especially, my WDC Short Story. If I don’t get all of the second Short Story written by the end of this weekend, I will still have Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week to finish it. I think that I can get both of them written at work, though. True, I will need to write them by hand, but they will still get written at work first.

My only real problem is in writing them by hand first. The last time I did that, I was about a thousand words over my Word Count Limitations. It took me quite a while to be able to get them down to less than two thousand words. True, it can be done again, but I don’t want to do that if I don’t need to do it.

This time I’m going to edit each part as I wrote them. To be sure they are under two hundred words per section. That may mean a lot of crossing out or erasing, but it can be done. It also means a lot of time wasted in doing these rewrites. What else can I do, though? It’s either that or I take the chance of being over again once again.

Even with the delays in time, I still think that I can get both of these short stories written by the end of this weekend. Tomorrow and Friday, if needed, for my WDC Short Story, and Saturday and Sunday, once again if needed, for my second Short Story. It can be done. The big question is will I do it?

What I’m hoping for is to finish my WDC Short Story tomorrow. That’s possible since I got only six more parts left to write aka about twelve hundred words. If I can do that, then I have three days to write my second Short Story for this month. I should be able it written this weekend. Especially since two of those days are twelve-hour shifts.
