First Half of Probable Death
First Half of Probable Death

I had a very good day at work earlier today when it comes to the Story Outline for my fourth episode, Probable Death, for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. It’s a little bit better than I thought that I was going to get accomplished for a weekday. Since it was a Friday, I was hoping that I would get twenty to twenty-five single paragraphs.

After all, that is the number of single paragraphs that I have been able to write during the weekdays. It’s usually closer to twenty. If it’s even quite that many. Earlier today, I got twenty-seven single paragraphs written for this episode aka the first half of this Story Outline. A little bit more than I usually get written for a Friday.

True, nine of those single paragraphs were for my Teaser Act aka three lines long, but there were also twelve single paragraphs that were five lines long, and six that were four lines long. The five-line ones were for Chaad, Suuri, and Hoolle. That left the four-line ones for Reen, Voonc, and Kiirra. It also totals up to one hundred and eleven total lines.

One hundred and eleven lines don’t read too well, but considering it was a weekday it’s very good. At least I think that it is. After all, I did them in about five hours. That’s a little over twenty per hour. Divide that by five and that equals about four single paragraphs per hour. That also isn’t too bad for a weekday. Once again, at least I don’t think it is.

The equivalent of twenty-two single paragraphs is about average for a weekday for me. So, it looks like it was a fairly normal Friday. Except I usually get a little bit more on a Friday than a Thursday. It doesn’t look like I did that this week. Still, twenty-two single paragraphs are very good for a weekday. Even if it’s a Friday instead of a Thursday.

What about tomorrow? Tomorrow is a Saturday, and lately, I have been getting about forty single paragraphs written in one day. I hope that’s true tomorrow too. It means that I will finish the Story Outline for this episode about halfway through my shift tomorrow. When I get done doing that, I will start to work on my Scene Outline for this episode.

If that’s true about my Story Outline, I will have about four and a half to five hours more to start working on my single-paragraph Scene Outline. I don’t know how much of it I will get done, but I should be able to get the Teaser Act done. After all, it’s twenty-two episodes including two Establishing Shots.

I don’t know if I will be able to get the twenty-two single paragraphs written tomorrow or not, but I think I have a very good chance of doing it. It all depends on how quickly I can get the Story Outline finished. If I can do that within the first six hours of my shift, then I probably will get the Teaser Act written too. Maybe even a little bit more than that.
