I Did It Again
I Did It Again

It was a little bit of a sacrifice, but I got all five sections/parts/ done for my WDC Short Story done today. Not only did I get it done, but I got it created on WDC. I even had time to create a posting for The Shameless Plug Page and the Please Review page. Unfortunately, I couldn’t post it to The Shameless Plug Page.

I did get it posted to the Please Review page. That’s not all, though. Even had time to place a note in my Notebook about it. That still isn’t all, though. I also started the planning for my second Short Story for this month. So far, I only had the title for this Short Story. Of course, I knew what this Short Story was going to be about. I just didn’t have down on ‘paper’ yet.

It's all set up for me to start working on for the next six days of my days off from work. Hopefully, I won’t have to do what I did today with it too. I don’t think I will, but you never know with me. After all, I still have a laptop that keeps wanting to crash. There shouldn’t be a reason for me not to get it done in six days, but I’m not going to count on that until it happens.

So, what was the sacrifice I mentioned in the first paragraph. The first sentence to be exact. It was actually two sacrifices. One was that I got up a little bit earlier than I normally do on the last day before I go back to work. True, it was only an hour earlier, but it was still earlier. The other sacrifice was my not watching any television while I was writing.

Sometimes television can be a little bit distracting. I get so caught up in it, I lose my concentration when it comes to my writing. It doesn’t happen too often, but it does happen. When it does, it can be very hard to get back on track with my writing. Put those two things together and that’s what I meant by sacrifice in the first paragraph and sentence.

At least I got it done. I didn’t have a decision to make about what I was going to do next because I didn’t get it done. That decision was between me finishing it at work tonight, working on it after I get home from work, or dipping into the six days for writing my second Short Story for this month. Didn’t want to make that decision. I’m happy that I don’t.

So, what’s next? When it comes to writing my short stories, I will probably wait until my next three days off from work to work on it. Depending on how far along I get it done in those three days will determine what I do next, I could work on it at work or after I get home from work, or I could take the chance with my last three days off from work.

I will probably do the latter. Try to get it done within the last three days off from work. After all, I could do another today if it’s needed. I’m hoping it won’t be needed, but I never know. Between what my brother and I need to get done and my laptop acting up again, I need to do another Wednesday like today. I don’t think I will need to do that, though.
