Self-mocking one's own efforts
Hidden tender soul

Tought exterior
Says, "You give me your best shot,
thorough reviewer!"

Emerge yet unscathed
Persistent effort, trying
To capture the verse

Elusive gestures
Hidden semblance of meaning
Blazed in Memory

Unexpressed feeling
Dies so lonely on the fence
Forgotten, alone
