Poems Where I Learn

To Eyre Square
To Eyre Square

Meandering to Galway City,
On my way to Eyre Square
A winsome heifer caughter my eye once,
Flashing eyes and golden hair

Connemara to Dublin regions,
Never had I seen such style
True lonesomeness was my companion,
Over many traveled miles

As I look out on Galway proper,
From this green and lush hillside
I'm finished with my rome through Ireland,
Husky cow became Hooves' bride

I'll never go to Galway City,
But I see it from afar
Content am I with my companion,
City lights shine bright as stars

I found my heart upon this heather,
Distant from the city square
Safe forever in bovine lovin'
Home at last with one who cares..
