Empty or full, shiny or a little in need of washing and sometimes just cracked!

Private or Not?
I have about fifteen minutes before my writing group so will keep this entry short. (I hear you all sighing with relief.) Just ran round my favourite journals, enjoyed them all and the variety of topics. Thanks, you wonderful, interesting people for sharing your thoughts and ideas.

Like Nada, I admire the fact that both Dan and Tor share their writing and journals with their wives and respect their opinions that nothing personal goes in here. I've apologised several times for some of my very personal entries but it's my way of releasing, recording and relaxing. Maybe the hormonal thingies with women make us more emotional and more inclined to record feelings, but whatever, if I feel silly, I'll write silly, if I feel angry, I'll write angry and likewise when I'm sad, depressed, optimistic, suicidal or whatever. I hope it offends no one but if it does then it's a risk I'll take.

I so agree with Tor on his 'holding back' sometimes in case it annoys or upsets; I sometimes have to print two versions of my work - one for hubby to read and one for the file. My hubby is very supportive of my writing but I know he would disapprove if he knew I wrote some juicy stuff or covered a theme about obsession' or 'jealousy' which I feel well qualified to do. So, some of my writing I do not share and although I do have guilty feelings, ultimately, it's my writing, not his and it's a free world they say!

A small example. I know (and am honoured) that Dan has mentioned 'Scarlett' several times in his journal which his wife reads. Now, if I mentioned a male name a few times in mine I KNOW hubby would zoom in on that and immediately become suspicious. Of what, I'm not sure but this is the way of things and why I have to be so careful. Sad, but true.

I was quite shocked to find this journal can be viewed by anyone without even signing into the site, so I have now made it available only to registered members and above. I hope I've done it correctly. If I've locked out any of my huge fan club, lol, let me know and I'll see if there's a way round it but I need some privacy and security.

Right - Off to write!
