Another little book I received for my birthday, on a more serious note is entitled 'The Best Things in Life Begin with F.' Now behave, I expected a reaction from my not-so-lady-like friends but I thought you lot were more cultivated and mature.

Anyway, there's some lovely little philosophies in it and a lot of these wise words reminded me of the sort of thoughts Dan often shares with us.

1. Forget age; it's strictly a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

2. Few men are ever satisfied when they get what they deserve.

3. Find a smile; it's the prettiest thing you can wear.

4. Freedom is the right all people have to be as happy as they can.

5. Friends are those rare people who ask how we are and then wait to hear the answer.

Finally, I'm not sure if this is foolish, funny, farcical, fatuous or just flappage but this morning I received notification that the title of one of my poems has had its rating altered from E to Non E due to the word 'Cocktail.' On a site where unfortunately, youngsters can access obscene, sick, erotic and explicit writings it seems a little over the top to me. But then what can I say except...'Go Figure.'
