ONE REGRET
ONE REGRET

[A daughter cements spousal relations]

God has been kind to me and
Bestowed on me His grace.
He has taken care of all
The problems I did face.

He gave me all I deserved,
Rather, more than I did.
Even though I too have sinned,
He has them omitted.

But one regret do I have
Which cannot be fulfilled;
One that can’t be made up now,
Even though if He willed.

He gave me only two sons
Who are wonderful, great;
But, can’t replace a daughter.
It’s a matter of fate.

I believe if a couple
Does beget a daughter,
She brings peace and cohesion
In spousal disorder.

May He fulfill this my wish,
At least, in my next life.
And, also give back to me,
In next birth, my dear wife.
