STABBING IN BACK
STABBING IN BACK

Tell not your secrets to friends,
Who may, in fact, be foes.
Rather than giving comfort,
Later they may give woes.

Foe is certainly better
Than an insincere friend.
Foe has no love lost and he,
Does not, friendship, pretend.

World is an animal farm,
Veritable circus,
Where lion in a sheep’s clothing
Is much more dangerous.

Always beware of your friends,
And their enchanting ways.
Who knows when they would stab in
The back in coming days?
