hiccups

Work tonight:

Marissa said something goofy that made me laugh hysterically. I got a bad case of hiccups. Patrick tried several things to help me get rid of them.

Martin came over and I was speaking to him when Patrick jumped at me suddenly. I screamed and dove for the hot box. The only reason I didn't fall to the floor was because the hotbox was behind me.

Everyone in the kitchen heard me.

Patrick seemed to feel really bad about it, and touched my shoulder apologetically several minutes later. He explained that he'd only been trying to scare my hiccups away, etc.

But later he seemed to enjoy trying to scare me, not as intensely, but just a bit. Just for fun. Weird.

Wanna know the kicker? I still have the hiccups.
