AL's Post-crucifiction, turtles, ducks, worms, rot
SPRING: 4 Jalál (12 April)

Occasionally there is a blog entry that goes over the top. AL 's comments on the Easter Story are uproaringly hilarious as well as thought provoking (or just plain provoking?). I call it 'AL's Post-crucifiction' *Laugh*.

It is worth being designated my

TREASURE OF THE DAY

I don´t think Jesus had Post-crucifixion depression. I think he was feeling "YAY!!!! I DID IT!!!! MAN AM I GOOOOOD!!" And did the Happy dance.

Turtles

Weather where I am: 63º and pure sun this morning.

Weather in Puerto Limón, Costa Rica: 82º and moist.

I couldn't find the temp in Tortuguero. I passed through that area on banana boat (lancha de banano) in 1974. We didn't stay, but I remember the trip well. Today, I'm wearing a T-shirt (very unlike me) that has a turtle on it. It says:

Ahora estoy viva ... mañana depende de Usted!

Costa Rica has reserves for turtles in an attempt to protect their numbers from dwindling.

SENSED

A tracery of green on wall (virginia creeper); sparrow with a long paper tail flying towards its nest; moon almost full, hung in the eastern sky after vespers, before dusk; ache in my back, the weight of the pack on my shoulders.

White lilacs with red tulips; redbuds festooned with toilet paper; orange lily-tulips; ivory fringed-tulips; yellow peony-tulips; virgina blue-bells; white and pink honeysuckle bushes; the sound and smell of the mower.

Procrastinating. MUST write biography about my writing. Tonight! Now!

Worm Feces

In the meantime ... nice article about worm feces *Bigsmile*. Apparently these two Swedes (is this entry going to be all about Sweden?) Mat Eriksson and Fredrik Terfelt found some fossilized worm feces 500m old! Just sitting there in a rock face in Malmo (temp 40º and foggy at 20:00 CEST). Who woulda thunk it?

Anywho, they titled their thesis, "Anomalous faces and ancient feces." Seems some Swedes have a sense of humor! Ouch, *Cry* I can feel AL kicking me in the shins the whole way från Sverige *Laugh*.

Duck Soup

For the latest in news from Nada: "Invalid Entry.

To laugh hysterically, look at the photos and dialogue of Scarlett: "Just Another Day (if you haven't already!) She has a couple nice photos of Newark, England in her blog entry for today. Her blog is to be found at: "My Life on a Plate [18+]

Sketched on April 7th:

Beauty rots

Magnolia petals,
fat and fragrant,
apple slices turning brown,
rest at my feet,

strewn offering beneath
the gloss green leaves,
the fresh hewn dust,
the bone of tree.

Who'd kill Magnolia?
steal her scent?
Who'd rob us
of her southern beauty?
her yearly rent?

Oh, the market needs more parking,
the neon sign was blocked,
so ... kill the old magnolia.
(For greed our future's hocked.)

I pick up fragrant petals,
knowing beauty rots. [163.47]

Wow, I just turned 20! Tried to figure out ¿why? Apparently I have one more referred member (make that 3 now). Could work on that I guess! Know enough people to get that sucker up to 30 or 40 or ...

Views are up to 2,391. So tomorrow it'll go over 2,400.
I'll make my goal of 3,000 by first day of Summer at this rate *Bigsmile*.
