Just play: don't look at your hands!

So, I say to myself...
I had such a great time yesterday free writing all over the place, until I tried to meet the Troubadour's challenge of a piece of light verse. I've been ditty-ing and versify-ing so coolly in my head that it wouldn't let me go.

I wrote several poems including a Keats parody, just playing. Added a new folder for them called, Holy Silliness. Blogged hysterically, well at least I thought so. Even wrote a country-western song I've had the first two lines of for twenty years. Do you suppose someone put manic-juice in my coffee?

Wrote a ditty on the way to meet with my spiritual advisor, and had five more in my head by the time I finished work. Variations on and additions to the Metre family, and a new zucchini theme which I'll show you in a minute. Maybe even a Zucchini Monologue, although that's probably too racy.

It was an an itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny
silver striped green zucchini.
While we slumbered, what went wrong?
Overnight it's two feet long!

Now, where's my audience?
