Well, SSTheWriter got his upgrade . His entry "Invalid Entry shows the angst that many of us feel when faced with our accounts going bye-bye. He also shares that being here has come to mean a lot to him. He's 18 and growing up. He's also good at interviews and will get better with time. If you get a chance, go read and leave a comment!

████████ Sizzling? Think cool *Cool*! *Snow1* *Snow2* *Snow3*
████████ Weather where I am: 97º, sunny hot at noon.
████████ Weather in Philadelphia, PA: 92º and sweltering.
████████ Weather where I'd rather be: 63º Keflavikurflugvollur, Iceland.

Just got this c-note from SilverValkyre loves YOU! , ain't it just the purtiest shade of green you ever did see now? Is that bridge in Mavis Moog ' backyard, or maybe on the way to Scarlett 's? Doesn't everyone in Britain have a moat around their castle? Don't those of us sweltering from the heat wish we did?

The graphic artist is chalaedra. I'll have to ask her if the little pup is named Gigi! *Smile*.

A short sketch thinking about a dead possum, then looking at the c-note above:

On the dark side of Delta Draconus

As wheels
squish dragonets,
two moons shine brightly red.
Here where settlers first kissed ground. Dead's
still dead.

The above is an American cinquain. I've written a lot of these! Some are found here:

"Cinquains - five line poems 18+: 105 five-line-poems waiting for your comments, final edit or death.
"Glice 13+: "Gladiators" glide on ice. 15 cinquains about hockey. 3 have been published 5/06.
"Between us E: 3 linked cinquains describing a relationship. The desert, the storm, the bond between us.
"3 summer cinquains E: American cinquains are a form poem.

Outside the library, 102º:

A rusting metal objet d'art (Along the road in Laos, Bounniak Thammmavong); orange and white chairs in front of Local Burger; pink impatiens wilting; dappled shade moving in the breeze; ash seeds; the grey wall I'm sitting on, still hot from the sun; dead branches looking up, yet the overwhelming green; a flag clanging its pole; feathered grass; no discernible smell; flies; a women holding a young child's hand; an older man holding books; a scooter by the entryway; the bicycles in racks; the cool air exiting the sliding doors, as I enter at last.

My life:

Yep, I got one. One's all I can handle and that ain't always easy! Juggling is not my best sport so I try to keep things boring (Oh ... the pc word is simple ... but boring describes it better!).

Pulled weeds, watered, picked squash. Ate (made me a chocolate-blackcherry-frenchvanilla-float)! Had fish! Love fish.

Met with Krista. Nothing's resolved, but hey, it's all okay. Drank a green grasshopper (latté with mint). I've had enough caffeine for the day *Smile*, okay ... week. That won't stop me tonight though! I'm staying out!! I'll see if I can make it to midnight. I haven't been sleeping all that well and I'm used to being in bed earlier.

Tuesday night and I can hang out at the bar ... no, I don't drink! but getting a coffee *Bigsmile* on the first floor, I can go upstairs and watch the party! Too old and/or worn out to join in ... and would I want to? Enquiring minds would LUV to know (be nice to me when you read this andrew *Laugh*. Andrew is always nice *Smirk*.

It is amazing, absolutely amazing, how many people I know in this town. I cannot go down the main drag without running into someone I know.

Last night it was María and Rocío. Rocío left this morning for Santiago del Compostela, Spain (Boa viaxe, Rocio!). ¡María va a Machu Pichu en Péru! ¿Y yo? Me quedo aquí. Qué lástima. Pues, when María returns, we'll do coffee! No surprize there, I hope.

Also saw two daschunds last night, one a dapple with odd eyes. And two kittens looking for homes. This was after 10 p.m. and it was still very warm, maybe 90º!

So, yeah, I've gotten back the night.

Blogville:

Tried to visit a lot of blogs today. It isn't always easy. There is a great blog entry by cnoto on being open to new ideas. It's short and worth a read and comment: "Invalid Entry

There are circle of friends here, yet it is so cool *Cool* to be able to read entries and leave comments. The issue of cliques has come up; but, frankly, we all have friends or people we connect with for one absurd reason or another. Nada is someone you'll come across all over Blogville ... she gets around, leaving cheer here and there. Anyone can do this. But it is work. At worse you may stretch your knowledge a bit. There are a lot of bloggers who deal with real life issues. I encourage you-all to take time to look into the windows of their world ...
