Holiday Greeting 2006
6 Masa’il 163 B.E. – December 17, 2006

I sent holiday greetings to two yahoo groups. I usually write one or two holiday or Christmas poems every year. Until yesterday, I hadn’t written such a poem yet and I was starting to worry that I wouldn’t. However, I have now written both a holiday and a Christmas poem. The holiday poem I posted to both groups. Here it is.

Hear the crystal bells ringing,
All the stores echo with singing,
People walk through mall corridors with
Packages wrapped in red and green,
Yule logs blaze and crackle.

Happy memories rise like steam
Over cups of hot chocolate;
Lights twinkle on the eaves of houses while
Inside evergreen trees sparkle,
Days are short and nights are long
As we wait for the New Year to come;
Yearning for a new beginning, we
Search for peace on Earth.
