what was I thinking?

I know all of you prolific writers and bloggers out there will not be able to sympathize...but I am going to find it difficult doing 500 words a day for the next month for the forum I entered.

Today's: "Invalid Entry" 

I consider myself more of a poet than anything. I have written a few stories but find myself lacking with character ideas and good plot details.

Do you think that the discipline of writing a set number of words daily is conducive to creating a stronger poetic voice? That's what I'm hoping for.

she sits there
and shimmers
like a bottomless glass
of champagne
the smell of warm skin
rising from
her white cotton camisole
and at 22
awakening and rising
she will never guess
how brightly
she shines
