Day on the couch
Day on the couch

Is this how it feels at the end of time:
no energy to move, the molecules
cooled to the darkness of a void
where hope has died that light
will ever find its way to interrupt
eternal night with day?
Is this the endpoint for all flesh?
Not in a blaze or flood or bloody mess,
but in a spring that won't rewind,
won't give back time.

On Ohio: tulips; blue ajuga; red columbine; bluejay; white lily-of-the-valley; pink phlox; yellow oxalis; dog barks; wooden wood chimes; smell of barbeque; breeze; fragrant lemon-yellow bearded iris; building clouds; various striped and blue violets; bees on the s.o.b.s (star-of-Bethlehem)

Very tired yesterday until evening. I got to talk to John Lee who said the geology in the poem "Alps made sense; we didn't discuss "orogenous/erogenous" *Blush*. Only two reviews of "Mauve Mavis so far; would love more *Delight*.
