I am continuing to work with the energy of the 9 of Coins...such a lush, rich, visual card. But roses, roses, and roses have been surrounding me literally and symbolically. So my card today is an imagined one, the 9 of Roses. I am listening this morning to an old cassette, Rosa Mystica, a collection of medieval song and chant. The Blessed Virgin was often considered the mystical rose, but in a less purely Christian context, I think the sacred rose represents the centerpoint of our hearts where we melt into the Divine. Rosaries,and their recitation of prayer, and these are Christian, Buddhist, induce the quiet contemplative state where we are most likely to encounter God. Somewhere today I read about the concept of "tithing " our prayers for world peace. It's such a lovely concept...my prayers are often merely personal ones, I certainly need to be reminded to open myself for the healing of the world at large. And on a purely selfish and mundane note, I have finished up my WDC birthday poetry contest....and the winners are......
