My blog--I pull a card--if it doesn't speak to me...perhaps it is for you?

Doris Lessing
It was announced today that Doris Lessing won this year's Nobel Prize for Literature for her lifetime body of work. Years ago I read The Golden Notebook, which is hailed as having a profound influence on the feminist movement. I was barely in my twenties when I read it and don't remember much of it. Probably need to read it in retrospect. Some weeks ago I heard on NPR a review of her newest book, Cleft, which is about a society evolving from an all female species to one polarized, like ours, by male and female. I haven't ordered it as yet, but will probably do so now.

I am much more in a reading, movie, T.V. watching, passive mode at the moment--don't feel inspired to write at all. I might blog more, just feeling unoriginal and uncreative. This may pass, or not....
