the last thing on my mind
He is "Invalid Entry" 
as I walk the path of daily accounting
His words echo through my mind
and I wonder
did I make today better then yesterday
for someone else or myself.

He is the last thing on my mind
as I attempt to sleep
when all the world is wandering
the roads of strife and fear;
I read His revealed words
and recite the prayers He left behind.

He is the last thing on my mind
as I intone God's most great name
and wait for sleep's approach;
I wonder if I can make
tomorrow better then today.
