15 for 15

I've been happily writing away for 15 minutes daily to a picture prompt for "15 for 15 Contest --- Closed" . I entered the contest to shake the dust out of my brain, and to take the challenge of writing daily for 15 days.

But hey, I'm not doing so badly in the contest standings either!

I'm in the process of copying and pasting my entries for the contest into a book. As these are largely unedited, unpolished pieces, I'm not allowing ratings, just comments. I'm hoping some of these small pieces might be polished to something more presentable.

White

Leave my bones
in the desert
to be bleached white
all light and high albedo.
Like a cow's skull
with a calico rose,
an elk tooth,
a magnolia.
Heaven is vast,
cold, empty, untouchable.
It knows no kindness.
We need worlds, and worlds.
This one always fails.
