My favorite object lesson:

The chicken and the pig were talking about farm menus. The chicken said, "I believe in tomorrow's breakfast."

The pig said, "I'm committed to it."

There's a big difference in the chicken's and the pig's role in tomorrow's breakfast. The chicken makes a donation. The pig makes the ultimate sacrifice.

That's what commitment means. It's a total involvement, no turning back, no wavering, all or nothing.
