My blog--I pull a card--if it doesn't speak to me...perhaps it is for you?

better today
I'm not retracting anything from my angry entry yesterday---I'm still angry, and radical---but today is a better day.

David, my husband, was called for an interview for a job with our local hospice organization---warehouse and delivery. This is such a Davey job-----working for a wonderful local organization----and David is the King of Thrift shopping----I'm certain he would love this position---and they would love him! The woman that called said she received 40 applications and David sounded "normal"---couldn't have hurt that I put together his resume and cover letter!

We are having a friend in for dinner tonight to celebrate her birthday----I've got a sirloin roast and veggies in the crockpot----and made awesome apple dumplings----the secret ingredient is---s-h-h-h----Mountain Dew!----not exactly organic-----but delicious, nonetheless.

I'm pulling out my retro 60's dinnerware and looking forward to a wonderful evening!

Even made Red Zinger Ice Tea---all ready in my retro 60's carafe-----When Dave and I bought our condo---he found a turquoise sink at the plumbing supply store where he had been working. I wasn't sure about a turquoise sink----but once installed, we decided to go with a 50's/60's pink and turquoise kitchen----had great time scouring thrift stores and flea markets, and Ebay for retro treasures....

Will even pull out the Coca-Cola flatware....our condo is decorated in thrift-store eclectic...but Dave, who's mom used to own a furniture store, has a great eye for design and organization, and makes it all work. I just shop.....*Smile*

And yes, I'm still an angry hippie, liberal...but that will be tomorrow's post!
