change from spring to summer
from summer to autumn
from autumn to winter
from winter to …

Headlines change
with the political climate
but never changing politicians
or minds.

True change begins in the root system,
hidden from the world
until the tree fruits
or a flower blooms
and reveals a new variety
of thought.
