Little Bear
An excerpt from:

Letter to Little Bear from the Zootown Brew

...
not as warm as your smile,
meeting me at the bus stop,
driving Big Blue.
Get a clue,
it's not the wastelands of Kansas I miss!
Would that you'd call.
I've enough for a ticket to ride
and the highways though snow-covered,
still surely connect us.
...

BLAH BLAH BLEEP:

K. Snow (gotta love the name!) called to make sure I knew about the writer's gathering tonight at Hobie's place. Well, I got there a bit late because my social calender is starting to get busy (so unlike Kansas). I'd never met Hobie, but of course he knows folks I know (from here, from Kansas). After all, as I told them all, Missoula is the "Island Kingdom of Misfit Toy's". Maybe I should change that to "Mountain". Anyhoo, a bit like Bhutan. (There is a Bhutanese connection here, btw.) Nice evening. Scored some muffins from Nona (whose newly published book just arrived). And got to hold Tweety, Franses's 14 year old long-haired chihuahua.

As for snow ... they've been promising and finally ... finally ... it is falling like big plates of snot. Frozen that is. A faeryland of slip and slide. No wind ... yet. And the view is a winter wonderland. We'd only had 3 inches to date, which is extremely unusual. Hope we don't make up for the shortfall in one storm. Seems Spokane got all our snow (greedy bunch). Over 18 inches!

So ... the day did not start out well (written about elsewhere), but ended up fine. *Smile*

FOOTBALL:

Dear Lord, Thank you for bringing us snow and scheduling the GAME in Chattanooga. We request some dry western weather, but leave it in your hands. Please don't fumble.

... a prayer of the older Griz fan (Maroon-and-silver 20:14) who wouldn't mind that final score.

Dear Lord, Thank you for bringing us snow and bitter cold weather. Could you also arrange the GAME to be rescheduled? Here, of course. We always give our guests a warm welcome. Please bless our team too and give a blessing to the other.

... prayer of the younger Griz fan (Maroon-and silver 70:3) who wants -70 degree windchills and will charitably concede a field goal (but not two).

DA GAME is Friday Night at 6 MST (Montana Standard Time).
