Thunderstorms and Dixie Chicks

Today has felt like living in the middle of a vortex. Thunderstorms were so fierce that they shook the windows of my office. I tried to combat the weather and lack of action by writing but it seems, I am unable to craft anything of value. Funny, in the list of things to expect when you are expecting, I never saw writer's block listed! I hope it is a temporary affliction brought about by being preoccupied with something that feels both wonderful and terrifying at the same time. This morning, I was able to add sore and bleeding gums to my list of ailments and though I am relieved that it is normal, that doesn't make it pleasant. I keep telling myself I've only just begun this great adventure and there is so much so much more to come. In the absence of being able to write anything, I force myself to keep this blog going to keep the juices slowing and to memoralize this experience as I have always done with my writing.
