Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

Using rhyme, near rhymes and other nonsense.
Rhymes can be fun (if not overdone; unless, you wish to make puns, a point, a silly... )

In the following I began with "lisp" and "hiss". Then thought of "wisps".

-iss and -isp are related to -ish, -if, -ist, -isk, -ips, -its, -icks, -isht, -itsh, iffs. If the vowel is the short 'i' of "it" and the consonant following is related (p,t,k,sh,f) there are sundry choices available.

Like: serving dish, flying fish, swished, hard disk, sticks, frisk(y), mist, resist, kissed, fist, tips, tits, itch, whiff... *Bigsmile*

Excerpt from: On the shores of Lake George

Lisp of the lipless whitesnake,
piss of cock crowing before dawn,
slap, slap, slap of the buoys
riding the warmth of the waves,
glistening wisps along shore.

Sweet bliss attracting the sweat-bees
an aria, soprano, echoing a roar
and a hiss, "keep it quiet",
that's shushed with a kiss
until the night-flight
no longer soars.

Crabs itch, fore-dawn's foraging whores,
as the sons of Adam and Eve
make out on the shores of Lake George.

Neither here... nor there:

Alt+0151 = —

I need that symbol to formalize some of my writing instead of using "..."

Alt+0162 = ¢

BTW... which is useful for indicating Costa Rica's colones.

On thyroid dysfunction: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-mark-hyman/hypothyroidism-how-your-t_b_243006.h...

I only have some of the symptoms, but it's a good read as thyroid problems are common but under-diagnosed. In this case the possible sufferer may have to insist on tests being done.

Gnus: Invade Buffalo? Domestic military force was supported by Cheney but rejected by Prez. Bush in 2002. It would have been the first time since the Civil War. And... it would've been where I lived at the time. Bet this disclosure 7-years-late isn't sitting well with some folks:

Spurts: Heard the roar from the Osprey's baseball game last night as they won with 8-7 with 7 runs in the bottom of the 9th capped by a 3-run home run!

CONCACAF: Sunday is the final football game between The Tri of Mexico and the boys from the U.S. of A. The Americans got there with a 2-0 win over Honduras; Mexico tied Costa Rica 1-1 and then went 5-3 on penalty shots to advance.
