Show Me Love
Temptations abound
Surrounding me from all angles
Whispers carried gently on the breeze
Sooth and caress my soul

Yet confusion sets in
As the tempo increases
Suspicions develop
As uncertainty creeps in

Denial masked
By wanting
Thinly veils
The weak foundation

Cracks begin to appear
Threatening to destroy
Something that could be
Wonderful... beautiful...

Foundations built
On light grounds
Nothing real offered
To concrete it's stability

Without stability
Without something real
Without something genuine offered
My world could tumble down.
