Reading, writing and hymning.
*Reading* Rereading Ted Kooser's Winter Morning Walks and Wendell Barry Farming: A Hand Book.

*Gold* Going through hymnals. Have three. I was explaining to Ann how the various meters and stress patterns as well as the use of refrains can be helpful in writing poetry. Brian Blanchfield suggested I look up Leann Brown (sp?) who uses the cadences of Appalachia.

*Quill* Nice visit with Ann of Bow, Washington. She quilts and her work will be on the walls for First Friday at Bernice's. We chatted a bit and I've sketched out part of "Ann of green rainbows" [167.95] Way ahead of writing goals.

Wish I had tales of walking to relate. At 45 (the high) and windy I hung out in the coffeehouse. Mid 20s tonight? ***shiver***
