Not just sushi... continued...
Alfred commented about "Not Just Sushi".

A longer thought-out response: They would be my regular normal length poems (15-40 lines). 4 to 8 poems in a quarter-page booklet (Sushi was tiny). "Earth Groaned", "Gzaibun" (and someday) "Roses for Ranita" are that size. (4 1/4" by 5 1/2")

I would try to gather 15-20 poems by theme that would be sorted by a designated "victim" . I think I'll ask Franses to choose the poems for the first one. She writes children's stories, so poems for/about children might be appropo.

Each issue would contain the favorites chosen by a friend. If I can... I'd like to do 20 (about 120 poems in all). Themes could be nature, nature/people interaction, voice-of-nature, children/nature, children, GBLT, prose-poems, Oklahoma, vignettes, homelessness, Kansas, letters, erotica, bustrips, Montana, ekphrastic poems, sports, fantasy, rants, death, loss-and-longing. I'm sure there are others. *Smile*

I could then sell some (maybe $2-3) and use them to introduce myself and my writings (to friends, neighbors, acquaintances, other poets). I looked into costs... costs have gone up.

I have the saddle stapler, know how to arrange pages, even know how to make a few hard-cover copies. *Delight*

They would include the poems, a cento, maybe a 100 word blurb by the person who chose them... (free copies to them, of course), each one signed and numbered.

Lots of work... but I have the 5,000+ poems from 2003-2010 to choose from.

Oh, and Scarlett: I hope to have the first one done before coming to England. *Smile*

ME:

Doing okay... had my roast-beef lunch, my coffee, a short jaunt out... Not accomplishing much and no news today, but feeling some energy to get new projects started. Even want to pack for the trip to England so I'm ready when I find a cheap ticket... So much to do!
