Winning doesn't necessarily prove anything...
Yesterday U Montana won 73-2 over Division 2 team Western State (Colorado). Beating up on someone you obviously are superior to proves little or nothing. Hopefully the second and third teams got a good scrimmage.

ME:

Ever been beaten up by someone or beaten someone up? Neither feeling is very good. Just because I'm "smart" doesn't make me better... I need to remind myself of that... even now as an old fart. Need to remember what it was like to be a child who was underweight and couldn't see without glasses (at the age of 6). Add in a smotherer of a mother who kept me close to home and it's no wonder I had no clue what was what half the time.

I like to think I've grown up somewhat. Truth is I have too good a memory in spite of lapses and I am what I am... and need to stop apologizing. This is a process, a life-long process. I have many heroes and heroines in my life, especially here at WDC where people share, who struggle with the seeming unfairness of living and yet survive to sing their own song.

Taking a beating need not define us, no matter how cruel or instructional the experience.

Yellow cheer from sarah

YOU:

I spoke with Anabel in Eureka yesterday. Arrival date in California is still not firm; but, I'm determined to see Noelani and Catherine as well as play with Anabel's cat, Pishpot. Anya will be so grown up and Richard? He'll always be soft-spoken, strong-hearted Richard! *Bigsmile* Looking forward to the trip.

But... stop in San Francisco, Reno, go to Los Angeles first? Need to visit Sheila in Ojai before I become infirm... in other words... soon. *Rolleyes*

As for Facebook: most of my comments come from present or former members of WDC. I am blessed. *Heart*
