Have I mentioned that life is weird

Maybe weird isn't the word I want. Thirteen of my brother's poems are in 99 New Poems. My brother sent Mom a copy of the anthology and Mom wants to read the poems. Mom can't find her magnifying glass, so I have to read the poems to her. This may be a good thing.
One of the poems mentions my grandparents deaths. The problem is that Mom doesn't remember they died. Mom thinks there still alive somewhere in Blackwell, Oklahoma. I made the mistake once of saying they were buried in Blackwell and Mom got angry. So now Mom and I discuss my grandparents, but not their deaths.
This situation leaves me with a problem. Do I read the poem that mentions my grandparents' deaths and leave out the stanza about their deaths? I imagined several issues in dealing with a person with Alzheimer's disease, but censorship was never one of them.
