The heat is not working because something else went wrong with the heat pump. It’s an old unit; so things like this can be expected. I have to call American Home Shield on Monday to find out the amount of the non-recoverable cost. The temperature isn’t cold today and it hasn’t been cold since Wednesday.

American Home Shield called yesterday while Mom and I were shopping to let us know about the non-recoverable fee (what ever that is). Mom and I returned home at 3:00 PM Pacific Time which is 5:00 Central Time. When I called their office it was closed and won’t reopen until Monday morning.

Anyway, the heat pump won’t be fixed until next week. Mom isn’t happy about it because she says it’s cold and she doesn’t think they are going to fix the heat. We bought everything we needed for the weekend and today I went to the bank and withdrew $20.00 in quarter for the laundry tomorrow. I would like to get to the laundromat about 9:00 AM, but that’s unreasonable because if I start getting Mom up about dawn it will be 9:00 before she gets up. Maybe we can get to the laundromat about 10:30 (if we’re lucky).
