The Continuing Saga of Prosperous Snow |
Istijlál (Majesty), 2 ‘Alá (Loftiness), 167 BE – Wednesday, March 2, 2011 about 7:11 PM Pacific Time It is March. Spring arrives on March 20 this year. There is a Naw-Ruz party on the evening of March 20 and I will be at home. I would like to go out on Naw-Ruz, but the prospect of getting Mom ready to go is daunting. Mom does not want to leave the house for any reason. She would prefer to remain home while I go and take care of business, but that is out of the question. Mom goes with me wherever I go. I have a class Thursday afternoon at 2:00, this means I have to begin getting Mom ready Thursday morning. I am going to work the polls this year. I enjoy working the elections and I usually look forward to it, but this year is different. My nephew will stay with Mom on that day. I do not know how she is going to take him or anyone else staying with her. I am the only one Mom wants to stay with her, but I need a brake occasionally. Mom and I used to enjoying going out on Naw-Ruz, but this year it is out of the question. It takes too much effort to convince Mom to get ready to go anywhere; she would prefer to stay home; leaving Mom home alone is out of the question. |
