Waking up at 11:00 PM

Istijlál (Majesty), 10 ‘Alá (Loftiness), 167 BE – Thursday, March 10, 2011 about 7:35 PM Pacific Time

On Tuesday and Wednesday Mom woke up at 11:00 PM and did not get back to sleep until after midnight. Tuesday evening she woke up and thought she was not sleeping in her bed. She got up and walked through the house until she found me asleep on the couch in the breakfast room. It took me about thirty minutes to convince her to go back to bed.

Mom did not want to get back in bed because she believed the bed was mine. She said it was too pretty for her and that she would sleep on the floor. I finally convinced her to get back in bed, but she did not want to go to sleep because when I looked in on her about 2:00 AM on Wednesday morning she was asleep.

On Wednesday night, she woke up crying, but did not get out of bed. I ask her why she was crying; however, she would not tell me. Mom usually cries because she cannot find her glasses or she thinks people hate her. I still do not know why she woke up crying because she was wearing her glasses. Perhaps she had a bad dream.

I did not go back to sleep immediately because once I wake up I have difficulty getting back to sleep. On Wednesday morning, I washed dishes and on Thursday, I said prayers. I do not think I will go to bed early tonight bed tonight. I will wait until about 11:30 to see if she wakes again tonight.
