Irish?
ME:

Well, no corned beef, no cabbage. 'Tain't Irish anyways...

At least one of the real Irish (from Eire) took the St. Pat's Parade in NYC to task on excluding the GLBTQ community. He stated that the Ireland of today is not about exclusion. Obviously, the America of today is.

The Irish Americans I grew up with were not always nice to me, so I wore orange on the 17th ...just to spite them. My ancestor, Julia McCarthy came from Belfast, although McCarthys come from Kerry/Cork. The hostess at the poet's retreat, Anam Cara is a McCarthy too. *Shock*

My favorite colors from when I was 10 years old: green (to wear) and orange (for most everything else). *Rolleyes*

So, I guess I'm not totally allergic to seeing a green-white-and-gold flag.

College basketball is in full swing. Since friends from the other side of the pond read this: it's a BIG thang here.

On-the-other-hand, U Montana lost their bball game to Duquesne last night. I stayed home as I wasn't feeling totally well.

But, I cannot blame a lack of eating... sprinkled left over caramel-corn crumbs over my potato the other day, last night I threw asparagus, some left-over orange "cheese" powder and small pasta shells in cream of chicken soup and chowed down. Turned out fine. *Laugh*

Still going back-and-forth over impending bus trips. Most say that I should take Nada up on her offer to have me come visit! And it's only 15 hours from LALA to Eureka! by bus. I feel a California side-trip coming on...

And there's always Ireland, England, France, Sweden... *Wink*
