I called my mother and put Lilane on the phone. Since they knew folks in common from the Andirondacks years ago, it only seemed natural. Perked my mother up.

Wish it were always that easy for me. Been depressed. The lowering grey day-after-day, hasn't helped.

Although... just scored 60 more minutes at the computer! Small crumb of victory.

Made an apple-ginger milkshake last night. It was ...okay. Pear would've been better. The ice cream only cost me $2.50; normally it would be $5.88. Has anyone noticed the price of dairy recently? Butter was $3.39/lb. I think.

Cost of living hasn't gone up? Does FOOD count? Most people who are poor at least eat. Electronics and cars are luxuries... Wish the government would figure that out. Do folks realize that in general we are much poorer than in the 1970s? Life isn't just a cellphone and toys for some.

I do like having a cell-phone though. Got rid of land phones around 2001.

Oh, by-the-way, I'm too lazy to clean out my WdC inbox so I don't get messages unless you use my email: [e-mail] which is linked to facebook. Or leave a comment here in one of my blogs... I do get around to them and am commenting on comments more.

Rainy earlier, brighter now. Is there hope? A mild 54ºF.
