Almost There Again
Time’s a funny thing don’t you think? When we were at home last week, our last journey on the QM2 seemed an age ago. Now we’re actually on the boat, looking out at the Atlantic, it seems just a continuation of last time. I guess some things like the oceans remain constant, which is quietly reassuring in some ways.

There are a few things that have changed on board, some for the better, some for worse, but again that’s only natural. I think I can find my way around this giant floating tub better than last time, but still struggle with identifying the front and back of the boat. I can find my way to the dining areas and bars with no problems at all.

The boat is travelling at less knots this time, which conserves fuel apparently, so the journey will take seven days, but I don’t mind as I like the simplified, relaxing way of life on board ship. It seems choppier than last time, but then again I find the rolling motion comforting and conducive for sleep.

Early Tuesday morning we should arrive in New York and then the hectic adventures begin. Hopefully internet time will be faster and cheaper too.
