Comforting essence
Womb of life on this planet
Cool and warm currents

Her waves carry gold and shells
Onto hot sandy beaches
Making memories

Deep trenches conceal
Unknown life form
Mysteries waiting for discovery

Weather creating currents
Two atoms of hydrogen
One atom of oxygen

Spiritually significant
When in a dream
Taste like human tears
Taste like human blood

Tides tided to the moon
Tides ebb and flow
The moon waxes and wanes

I dreamed of the ocean last night
Waves rolling into shore
Waves rolling out to sea

I raise a seashell to my ear
I hear the song of the sea
My muse unchained
