Difficulties bless, heal, and transform

Test by test a soul ascends,
Out of matter’s crucible,
Difficulties the fire that burns,
The husk that hides the kernel of faith.

Cell by cell caterpillars
become butterflies
difficulties transforming
creatures of the foliage
into flying flowers.

Difficulties heal
they are the surgeons laser
removing
the cataracts of fear
from a lover’s eyes.

Difficulties bless
they are gardeners
pruning
the fruitless limbs
and dead boughs of doubt
from the tree
of faith.

Is there any Remover of difficulties save God? Say: Praised be God! He is God! All are His servants, and all abide by His bidding!
